Premier Nutrition Announces Precautionary, Voluntary Nationwide Recall of selected ODYSSEY Branded Bars Containing Peanuts Due to Possible Health Risk (April 29)
Premier Nutrition today announces a precautionary, voluntary recall of select ODYSSEY branded bars that contain peanuts manufactured by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) at its facility in Plainville, Texas. PCA has been the focus of an investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concerning a Salmonella Typhimurium outbreak thought to be caused by tainted peanut butter. The potential for contamination was noted after the State of Texas Department of Health and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) performed inspections at PCA's facility in Plainville, Texas.

The recalled spinach was distributed locally in retail stores and food wholesalers in Wisconsin, the Chicago area, and Minnesota. The product comes in 10 ounce and 1 pound packages marked with a use by date of 4/29, 4/30, and 5/01
AZ Hydroponic Farming Recalls 4oz Alfalfa Sprout Cup Because of Possible Health Risk (May 4)
The product in question was distributed throughout Arizona and to one customer in California. The product comes in a 4 ounce, clear plastic package labeled with either AZ Hydroponic Farming expiration date 4/18/2009 or with LA CALCO expiration date 4/23/2009. The packaging is a 4 x 4 x 4 inch cubed plastic container with a perforated bottom.
