NOW Foods Issues Voluntary Recall of Pistachios (April 17)
NOW Foods has issued a voluntary recall for NOW Foods Brand In-shell Pistachios, 12oz bags due to potential Salmonella contamination. This is an extension of the pistachio recall being conducted by the company's supplier Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. and similar to other recalls issued by many other companies this week.

As a result of the expansion of the voluntary recall of roasted shelled and in shell pistachios announced by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. as a precautionary measure because the product may be contaminated with Salmonella. Hickory Harvest Foods and I M Good Snacks are announcing a voluntary recall of all Pistachios. This includes all Shelled, In-Shell, and Flavored Pistachios, under the Hickory Harvest, I M Good, and private label customers.

Harry and David, of Medford, Oregon, has initiated a nationwide voluntary recall of six Harry and David products, Caramels and Clusters, a Capiz Chocolate Tower containing Caramels and Clusters, a Directions Engineering Buffet containing Caramels and Nut Clusters, a Garden Tote aka Garden Party Tote aka Garden Delight Basket containing Sahale/Harry and David Ksar Pistachios, a Start the Party Wine Gift Basket aka Start the Party with Wine Basket containing Sahale/Harry and David Ksar Pistachios and Sahale/Harry and David Marrakesh Pistachios. These products contain pistachios that may be part of the recall by Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc. due to possible contamination with Salmonella.
