FDA Statement on Institute of Medicine's Report on Preventing Medication Errors
FDA statement that it believes the Institute of Medicine report provides a much needed perspective on the frequency, severity and preventable nature of medication errors and that many of the recommendations outlined in the report are supported by medication error prevention, patient education and label comprehension efforts already underway at FDA.
