FDA seeks to tighten screening of conflicts (Chicago Tribune)
Stricter guidelines for advisory panels The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday proposed guidelines that would disqualify doctors and scientific researchers from serving on its advisory panels if they received financial benefits exceeding $50,000 from drug and medical device companies over the course of a year.
