FDA Approves Vidaza Label Expansion (Medical News Today)
The Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation (AA&MDSIF) is pleased to inform patients that the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has expanded the label for VIDAZA (azacitidine) to include data from the AZA-001 trial, which found that Vidaza is the only agent that extends survival in MDS (myelodysplastic syndromes) patients.

FDA Grants Fast Track Designation for OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals' Lead Product Candidate OGX-011 (CNW Group via Yahoo! Finance)
OncoGenex Pharmaceuticals announced today that OGX-011, also known as custirsen sodium, received Fast Track designation from the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in combination with docetaxel for progressive metastatic prostate cancer.
