Vancouver, BC, June 6, 2006--(T-Net)--Aspreva Pharmaceuticals Corporation (NASDAQ: ASPV; TSX: ASV) and Roche (OTC: RHHBY) today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted orphan drug designation for CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) in the treatment of pemphigus vulgaris (PV). Aspreva is currently evaluating CellCept for the treatment of PV in a global phase 3 study.
