Del Monte Fresh Produce N.A., Inc. Files Lawsuit Against FDA in U.S. District Court
Del Monte Fresh Produce, N.A., Inc., a subsidiary of Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. , filed suit on Monday, August 22, 2011 against the Food and Drug Administration in U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland to seek an injunction that would lift an FDA rule restricting the importation of wholesome fresh cantaloupes into the United States.

Director of Compliance at FDA s CTP Says 97% of Retailers Compliant with New Tobacco Law Regulations
The FDA s Center for Tobacco Products Chief of Compliance, Ann Simoneau, recently told attendees at the CSP Tobacco Category Review Meeting that while nothing would please me more than to have no violations, retailers had a 97% compliance rate with respect to implementation of the new Tobacco Control Act regulations.
